Going to California!
Hello All, I'm going to be in So. Cal next month from August 14th to the 24th. I'm going to be attending Blizzcon with my brother on the 21st and 22nd, but all other days are open if anyone wants to meet up and hang out. Rough itinerary: Aug 14th: Fly into John Wayne. 15th, 16th, 17th: Be in the Yorba Linda area and visit with my parents. 18th, 19th, 20th: Rent a hotel near the beach and work on my tan/various activities in L.A. 21th-22nd: The con Sunday 23rd: Pack up and fly back. I'm also looking for ideas for things to do when I'm out here, as I'll probably not return for another 2 years. Things planned: Eating at Koji's at the block (several times) Visiting one of the Lush stores The beach Possible visit to Little Tokyo Mitsuwa ??????? Seriously, I need some ideas. My Mom
This morning I called my mom and asked her to vote 'no' on prop 8. She told me she had already voted and had voted no, because she thought the discrimination was wrong. I vividly remember several years ago that she had voted yes for the original ban against gay marriage. I nearly choked up when talking with her and thanked her for doing so. I'm really proud of her for acknowledging the rights of her fellow human beings to not be discriminated against. She's still very Christian but also has become open minded in these past few years. I registered to vote in Austin this year so I can't vote in Cali. My love goes out to everyone who is taking the time to go to the polls. Tonight was really frustrating. I don't really feel effective at work, and in the massive schedules revamp that occurred they are taking away alot of the people under me. Granted I'm told that I am getting more, but I'm extremely sad. I have to teach the people under me about professionalism, and then deal with them reacting when they get upset on being told to act like grown ups. I love them all, but that shit digs you a hole that can hurt you when you fall into it. I flagged down one of my bosses at the end of the shift, and asked them what I should be working on. What I was told depresses me further, and it makes me feel like I'm not worthy of doing my job. I feel really alone on overnights and want to be on a diffrent shift, but in asking to move to a diffrent shift, I feel like I'll loose my chance for a promotion. Well, I'm not dead! :D The natives laughed at me for calling in late and hiding in my tub, but HR apparently didn't feel the same way as we got a company-wide memo that basically said " If there is a FUCKIN WARNING AND SIREN, STAY THE FUCK HOME...jesus you guys... D:" I love HR. I snapped like the weak insect I am and bought a DS and all of the Phoenix Wright games. I played 4 first, then 1. Now I'm on case three in 2. This game is fucking nuts. I keep on quoting the game text to my fellow managers, but they look at me funny so I have to quickly change the subject to Age of Conan. It's easy to talk about AOC. All you have to talk about is 1: Nipples 2: Blood. 1+2=AOC. I got a letter from the Government telling me that; 'my check was coming, but you totally thought this letter was the check, right. PSYCH! LOL @ U for cheering at the mailbox! :D :D :D' I'm really poor right now so I've been cooking meals at home. I make tonkatsu and top ramen. I've called out late for work, but I think I will be calling out for the night as it appears it will be landing right on top of me. I love and care for you all, and will update you when I can. Let me show you my pokemans
Merry Christmas everyone! Right now I am at my parents house crashing on their couch. My roomates are having their famil over from Big Bear so I offered to sleep somewhere else for the day so they could be loud and merry. My life has been very very busy. My new roomates are awesome and its nice to be able to just hang out in the living room and talk with someone my age about beliefs and family and comics. My female roomate went on a baking bonanza so this year I have been plied with cupcakes and cookies. At work there is 2 hours of overtime almost every day. It is extremely exhausting and I have given up on organzing activities with anyone as I have taken to sleeping untill its time for work. Today we were given no overtime as a christmas presant. My cell phone has been giving me a error recently saying unregistered sim card. I am no longer able to recieve or send phone calls. I have to take the old sim card and speak with a rep. Until then I can be reached at Shannako@gmail.com. Grace adjusted failry well to the move although she impressed my roomates by hacking out serveral hairballs and ralphing for a few days. She is making up for it in woogiliness. She also wont eat the other cats food an I have gone back to giving her the special food.This will eventually be recitified but this is not the week to try. I also locked myself in the pool area and had to jump the fence. That is a story for another day. Michelle, I recieved your gift and it stopped my heart. You have to read this book. It is so awesome. However, all I really want is to see you for a day when you come out. Give me a day and time, if it can't be on a wensday or thursday I will call out sick and we will spend time together and I will give you your backlog of presants. Grace also wants to see you. I miss you horribly. Due to the utter failure of my social life I have been leveling my priest and her herbalism. I loves my priest muchly. I love PvP
So I've finished a instance run and reach the harbor just as the boat leaves so I need to wait for another one. Well, it's a pvp server so I have to stand next to the gaurds as a Priest who is all alone is prime corpse camping material. So I'm waiting and waiting and this level 19 druid runs up, looks at me, and throws off a spell. I do nothing and the gaurds run over and slaughter them in one fell swoop. So I'm waiting some more and I see that they have come back. They walk back a little farther, look at me for a moment and fire off a moonfire. Yeah, gaurds are all over them like flies in CSI before they can run. I wait another minute, run over to where their corpse is and sit on their head. And fart. Then I run back to my original position. They come back just in time for the boat to finally show up. I wait until the very last moment until the boat starts to move then I hop on. I sheilded myself and cast mind control when we are sufficently away from the port and mind controled the person into throwing themselves off the boat so they haveto swim back to the harbor and wait for a new boat. Well Suck. Since the paycheck arrived last night I sat down and paid all of my bills. And after paying all of the late fines from the money I didn't have, it was double the cost of the original bills. Now I have no money for clothes. That sucks rocks. A One Man show is all I need to feed my creed
So forth of July kicked ass. I went out shopping and did a crap-tacular job of dyeing my hair, and then went to meg's bbq. There was a rediculous amount of fireworks and small children to throw them at. Megan's roomies had more beer than us. Like Woah. And I got my first taste of alcohol and a promise of barhopping. Wheeeeeee. I still can't remember what was the name of the black in the Black and Tan that I finished. My palate might be weak but all beer seems to tastle like bitter swill. But now I have incentive to take the Kalua for reasons other than cake now. I don't even think I was tipsy. I didn't feel tipsy. My throught tried to cave in on it'self but no tipsiness. Grace was orgamically happy to see me. She's been purring so hard she's started to drool. Texture painted the room today. Colin showed up and power washed the remaining fences. He was pretty nice but didn't wish me a happy birthday >_> I am so vain. still need to exchange cassie's presant and aunt announced that there was a check in the mail and mom is flipping out that I havn't made a dentist appoinment yet. Bakery Donuts(Double YUM!) A huge pack of Tylenol allergy and sinus meds ( Mom couldn't give me clothes, bath supplies, or costume jewlery. Parents had me clean yesterday while they were out and then during lunch dad remembered that 1) My birthday was the next day 2) He had not gotten me anything 3) I had worked my ass off that week. We immeditly went down to our optometrist who is his band buddy and got me an exam right away. All went well so I got a trail pair and a appoinment next week. Smashing After a quick stop at Fry where we argued gb vs. praticality Dad caved and we got my shuffle instead of getting one of those 5 gb crative players. Satisfaction. Today I came over and helped re-clean the hallway and we had cake. Dad thought I was 21. Fabulous. This year has been so much better than last.
